The rose Eddy Mitchel or Dark Nigh (also known as 'MEIrysett' and 'Garden Director Bartje Miller') is an incredibly beautiful dark red blend of Hybrid Tea, with velvety red, almost black color on the front side of the petals and golden nuance on the back.
The rose Eddy Mitchel is a large flower with a strict classical form, which has 10 cm diameter, around 27 petals, strong dark green foliage and reaches 120 to 185 cm.
This plant blooms continuously throughout the season, from May to frost, spring, summer, autumn. The flowers have slight fragrance and are kept a very long time, about 2 weeks, after which they wither on the stalks, like if were mummified. The rose does not tolerate the scorching sun, it prefers the morning sunlight. It has a good resistance to rain and diseases.
