The hard-boiled eggs, dyed in dark brilliant red colour, made by Orthodox Christians in Greece and Middle East, are the brightest symbol of Greek Easter. The egg itself is an emblem of the Resurrection, while the red colour symbolizes the redeeming blood of Christ that was shed to absolve the sins of man.
