The interior of the dome in Basilica 'Saint Peter' in Vatican City, Rome, Italy, designed by 72-year old Michelangelo in 1546, who made the most notable alteration of the basilica, constructed on will of Emperor Constantine around 320th, but managed to finish only the portion of the dome, called Tamburo. The dome was completed in 1590 by Giacomo della Porta and Domenico Fontana, according to the drawings of Michelangelo.
