Beschreibung: An aerial view above the Royal Palace of Madrid (The Palacio Real de Madrid), which is the largest palace in Western Europe, surrounded by the beautiful parks Sabatini and Campo del Moro. The official palace of the Spanish monarchy was built on the site of the old Alcazar fortress, a former Moorish castle which was destroyed by fire in 1734. King Philip V ordered a new palace to be built on the same location (1738 to 1755), designed by Filippo Juvarra and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo in cooperation with Ventura Rodr?guez, Francesco Sabatini, and Mart?n Sarmiento.
