The Chanterelle mushroom (Cantharellus cibarius), is one of the best known wild edible mushroom with bright yellow or orange colour, due to the presence of a large amount of carotene in it.

The Chanterelle mushroom has graceful shape of a meaty funnel and grow only in moist forest soil, emits a fruity aroma of apricots and has a mildly peppery taste. It is used in cooking to add a pleasantly delicate flavor and texture to any dish.
