The Camellia Sasanqua is a species of Camellia native to southern Japan and is a staple in the American South for nearly 200 years.
It is one of the there main types: Camellia Sasanqua, Camellia Japonica and Camellia ? Williamsii (Hybrid Camellia).
Camellia sasanqua is valued in gardens for its handsome glossy green foliage, and elegant fragrant flowers that can range in color from white to deep pink.
Commonly known as Yuletide Camellia, or a ‘tough camellia’, it blooms in autumn/winter, and can appear even early in the season, as September with stunning autumn flowers.
